Achilles Tendonitis

Pain and swelling of the Achilles tendon, common in runners and active people, that usually improves with structured care.

About this condition

Tendonitis means inflammation or irritation of the tendon. In the Achilles it typically appears where the tendon attaches to the heel bone or in the middle of the tendon, and is often linked to a sudden increase in activity, overuse or footwear.
