Ankle Osteoarthritis
Wear and tear of the ankle joint causing pain, stiffness and swelling — often after previous injury.
About this condition
Osteoarthritis of the ankle results from damage to the cartilage that cushions the joint, frequently following an old fracture or instability. As the cartilage wears away the joint becomes painful, stiff and swollen, and may slowly deform.
